cruisers_2 Posted February 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2009 Im hoping someone can point me in the right directions on this, In March 2008 we took the southern carribean cruise on the Destiny(booked it nov 2007). We never heard back on the fuel refund they were giving back, i was reading some post where people did pay for a fuel charge this year and where waiting for there refund, this is what reminded me that i never heard back from our curise. Should i contact the TA i used, or should i call Carnvial and ask them. Any info would be great, I don't even no if we qualified for it, thanks in advance..:p
lollylew Posted February 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 23, 2009 If you sailed I believe AFTER December 18th, then you got the refund as OBC. We took a 4 night Bahamas cruise and missed getting the refund by one week! :(
big_duck Posted February 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 23, 2009 If you are talking about the refund to Canadians, it should have either been a lowered final payment amount, or OBC. Yes indeed, contact your TA for clarification.
firefly333 Posted February 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2009 The refunds last year were folks who paid before it was announced in late 2007. Depends on when you booked the cruise if you were due a refund or not.
cruisers_2 Posted February 24, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Thanks alot! We did book in nov 2007, so im not sure what the time range would be on that. I will call the TA tomorrow or send her a short note, My final payment had no change on it so they didn't give it back before i left. and no obc either. I wonder if i should ask my carnival rep,(we use carnival know) thanks again..:o
