Ruby Princess - cabins to avoid?

We are thinking of switching our JOS cruise in 3/2010 to the Ruby Princess as I think the JOS cruise is overpriced...looking into it now.

We will most likely book a balcony cabin rather than a mini suite. We had a bad experience on the Island Princess with a service door that was directly across from our cabin (B503 mini suite). So i am concerned about blindly booking a cabin not knowing what is across from it.

Obviously I could book a cabin that is across from another cabin. C415 (or similar) looks like a good location but I am wondering if any of you fellow cruisers who have cruised this ship since she has been out have any input.

Also, do you have a direct view down from Caribe, Baja or Aloha decks or do the life boats get in the way of seeing straight down to the water?

How are the elevators situated? If you have a room such as C431, do you have elevator noise?

Thanks to all!
