snowmouse Posted March 1, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2009 I thought I had read somewhere here that there was another rental car option besides Enterprise for San Pedro drop off. Hertz, maybe? Does anyone know? We are coming in a couple of days pre cruise and staying in the Beverly Hills area. We will need to get two rental cars, as there are 9 of us including 5 children. Rare mking8288 Posted March 2, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2009 There is a Hertz Local Edition corporate location (HLE) near the World Cruise Port in San Pedro that you might want to check - address is 1939 Pacific Coast Hwy, Lomita, CA - Tel 310-891-3061. It's open weekdays and Saturday, 9 am to 1 pm (closed on Sunday) that's supposed to offer local pickup & dropoff within 15 minutes with advanced notice. Call/check with them if there's extra charge for pickup at LAX and drop off at San Pedro & whether they can drop you off at the pier, etc. We've booked a confirmed one-way rental with Hertz for post-cruise later this month, picking up at Lomita and dropping it off at Sin City. The AAA rates for our Mazda 6i is very good (less discount for using AARP) and we should be doing some nice zoom .... zoom .... zoom on I-15 at 75+ mph going with traffic flow after our 20 knots cruise.
