SailingandSuch Posted March 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2009 I am set to go cruising on the Grandeaur of the Seas this coming Saturday (March 07). I am an avid freediver and I have a pair of fins that I would like to bring. They are in a bag that is made for them so I hope that the cruise line would allow them. I don't want them to be handled by the cruise line's workers and I was wanting bring them along as a carry-on bag. I would let them be my girlfriend's carry-on since they aren't very heavy and I would bring the larger carry-on with all of our important things in it. So, can I bring the fins? setsail Posted March 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2009 We have taken along our own fins and mask and just packed them in the checked luggage. (Our fins were for snorkling)
Annieeee Posted March 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2009 If they fit in your girlfriend's carryon you should be ok. Even if they don't just carry them on yourself. Are you driving or flying to the terminal? I don't know about the airlines, but you should have no problem carrying the fins onboard. Have fun! danajjj Posted March 3, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2009 As long as they will fit through the security x-ray machine at the terminal, you are good to go.
Gator0178 Posted March 3, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2009 We bring our fins, mask and snorkel with us all the time. You will have no problem.
I'm on holiday Posted March 3, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 3, 2009 Yes you can! DH has the long ones, and I have the "regular" ones. It's never been a problem.

As long as you don't intend to use them in the pools or spas on the ship, you should be fine bringing them. :D Can you imaging if everyone did that? LOL
SailingandSuch Posted March 4, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted March 4, 2009 Thanks everyone! The fins have their own special bag so I think I will let that bag be my girlfriend's "carry-on". Cool Deal!
