4th of July

The 4th is not observed in ports of call we have been.

The only fireworks we have ever seen were launched from a barge Disney chartered and floated a safe distance from two of their ships.

When I hear of a ship launching fireworks from anywhere on deck then I'd rather be somewhere else!

Enjoy the trip!

We were told by the cruise director that Disney is the only cruiseline authorized to shoot fireworks directly from the ship.

It was a great display......I was very impressed!!!

THAT'S CRAZY! INGITING EXPLOSIVES ON A SHIP IS A RECIPE FOR DISASTER!

Now it's been almost 14 years since I sailed on the 4th of July, but the only thing that was done was "Happy 4th of July" on the Capers and the waiters at dinner wore red, white, and blue, and sang "God Bless America" for the entertainment. No fireworks...I really wouldn't want them on a ship:eek:
