Need to lose before I cruise... any buddies??

Checking in to see how everyone's Easter went.

I will post all the Monday weights and add measurements tomorrow.

I have had a patient pass away and it's been one heck of a day.

All I know is I gained 2 lbs as of this morning which makes me so unhappy:( and disappointed in myself.

Here's hoping everyone else didn't make the same mistakes I did.

You won a gold star for today and get to sit at the head of the class.:D

 

Since I am waiting for my scale to arrive, I decided to take my measurments :( Not good...

 

You will see results when the NEW scale comes, great idea for purchasing a scale. As for the measurements they to will decrease.

 

Off to work...but Vickey please put today's weight at 220. I am not overly excited about only one pound loss but it is a loss! Everyone have a good Monday and I will check back later.

Here's my Monday weigh-in:

 

Previous weight last weigh in: 135.0

Today's weight: 135.9 (ugh!! Those danishes in Solvang really did me in.)

No measurements since no measuring tape.

 

My husband's not very helpful.... He brought me home a lemon tart - and that sucker was BIG. Instead of getting me a bday cake he bought this gooey delicious pastry. (yes, I'm another year older today. :D) I made my husband eat half the tart since if left in my hands I would inhale it.

 

Other than the tempation of lemon tarts, I did run today for about a 1/2 hour and took a 1/2 walk this morning. I did fairly well with eating healthy but my evenings are always a struggle. I'm in this a day at a time so I'll just keep going.

Hey everybody! Well I've been avoiding the scale all week cause I really feel like I've gained :/ So I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning cause I forgot to do it this morning and I always weigh more at night!

 

Hi Brenda - Happy belated birthday!!! I hope you had a nice relaxing birthday!!! At my work we have lemon tarts and they are delicious but I try my hardest to stay away from them!

 

Marsha - One pound is great. At least its a loss and not a gain!!!

 

Vicky - I could see this week wasn't a good week for you but I know you will bounce back!!!

 

Missou - How exciting I love getting packages in the mail even if I know what it is!!! I also hope you get a good suprise when you get on it!!!

Well, forgot to post the Monday weigh in, but here is what I am at. 200 still. Gained and lost nothing. I blame it on Easter.

 

Time to get back into the swing of things. Planning a good hour work out tonight at home of Hip Hop Abs and boot camp.

Well I have som exciting news today. After much debate, I have decided to have my right knee replaced (left one done last June). I was able to get in on a cancellation for May 11. The timing is as good as it gets with help at home and other things planned. There is never a good time for my job but we will just have to work things out.

 

I will be almost 3 months post surgery for my cruise so keep your fingers crossed. Last year my doctor told me I needed to lose weight so here I am. Also last year after my surgery I did not have an appetite for about a month so I lost quite a bit of weight (put it back on of course later on).

 

I've got less then 4 weeks to get everything organized but I am so happy to finally know I will be free of the pain. The left knee is doing great. Hopefully I will be off pain meds soon after surgery and no longer have to worry about the long-term effects of them.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

That was sweet that your DH bought you a tart instead of a big cake....just think of how many calories that would have been:eek:

I also have the evening temptation problem I think it is more habit than anything else. Here's to us both winning our struggle with late evening eating.:)

My day was not a happy one.

Didn't make to the Y due to an early morning patient and then attending the visitation and mass of another dear patient she was 97 years old. I get to attached to my patients that is what happens when you are private duty and are with the same ones for years.

I actually came home around 4:30 pm and took a nap which is something I can't remember the last time I did that. I was mentally exhausted.

 

I am back on track with my eating. And have the Y trainer adding more machines to my strength training this Thursday or Friday. I just hope it doesn't flare my fibro. up.

And I have a correction for my Starting weight. When i first started losing weight for my cruise/wedding, i was at 220. I put 200 as my starting here. So really I have lost 20 so far, but nothing since posting here.

 

Hey, 20 pounds is amazing progress!!! (If my math is correct, that is 10% of your body weight that you lost!!!! Yay!)

Well.... as for my efforts today.

 

The good news; I didn't eat any lemon tarts! :D

The bad news; I didn't get on the treadmill tonight - I was doing my taxes - double ugh!!

 

But... I just ate grilled chicken and a cabbage salad with vinegar and salt & pepper. Yum and not too bad. A Lean Cuisine and an apple for luch and just a small bagel with lite cream cheese for breakfast. Oh, and a Curves bar for a snack. (Those things are like candy!)

I started a career as a cruise consultant a few weeks ago and went to my first office meeting tonight. We had two presentations and I learned a lot. I am doing my e-training these days. It is very instructive!!!

 

It is now time for me to go to sleep if i want my trainig to be effective!!!

So I weighed myself this morning and I pretty much got what I deserved :/ I gained 4 pounds :( It didn't suprise me but hopefully next weigh in I'll lose! So as of this morning my weight is 179lbs!

I have noticed that gaining around the holidays is pretty much a given. I have a bday party this weekend for a family member and I am going to be trying hard to not eat any junk and go for the healthy stuff (salad). They normally will have hotdogs or hamburgers being a spring bday, but I am going to try my hardest for just something small.

 

I have to say that I am doing well on what I eat. Usually slimfast in the morning. I had some Noodle soup (chicken flavor) yesterday for lunch and had a bigger dinner. No chocolate bunnies for me yesterday, just some pop corn.

I have created a Spread sheet for keeping track of my weight loss. If anyone would like it, I will post send an excel spread sheet to you. Just post here saying you would like it.

 

It keeps track of weigh in day, previous weight, current weight, gain/lost, %gain/lost, goal weight and to go.
