Whitter to Anchorage Transfer

We have the Princess Transfer scheduled for the dropoff at the Princess Hospitality Center in downtown Anchorage. Question -- If the ship starts to disembark at 6am in Whittier, what is a realistic time to expect arrival into downtown Anchorage? (Note: I called the Princess cust. service folks but they had very limited info. on arrival time)

Once you get through the tunnel, it's an hour to ANC. But you may want to stop at Portage Glacier, Wildlife Conservation Center, or Turnagain Arm on the way. Be aware the tunnel opens on the hour for 15 minutes in the direction leaving Whittier. Miss the window, and it will be a wait until the top of the next hour, also sometimes the schedule gets out of whack:

You probably won't be called off the ship until later in the morning, probably around 9am. You'll probably get out on the 10 am tunnel. You might make a stop at the Wildlife Center. You might get into Anchorage around 12pm.

They are taking a Princess transfer, so won't have any options on if or where they stop.

Yeah, I figured we would be last on the list. I looked at the private transportation option to get us in earlier (e.g. 9-10am) but that is easily double the cost of the Princess transfer which is running us $54 pp. Anyone else have suggestions for quick, cheap travel into downtown Anchorage?
