4cruisecampers Posted March 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2009 I'd like to order a gift of gin for our room. I see you can order wines but didn't see anything else. Did I miss something? Or, can I buy it on board and have it sent to our room? Thanks again everyone! Your always so helpful:)
cb at sea Posted March 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2009 I don't think you can buy liquor for your room by the bottle---only by the drink. Don't know why wine is acceptable, if booze isn't---but I'm pretty sure it's a $$$ thing for the ship!

No questions asked! Just ask me:p I just sent a bottle of vodka via Princess to our friend for her birthday! I'm sure they had a good time:D Well, I'll just have to send a 'runner' (DH) to get me a martini!!!
newbiecruiser09 Posted March 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2009 Quasy related question: Can you order mixed drinks through room service? What about wine by the glass or bottle? Is this possible or do you need to get get the drinks/wine bottles from a bar and bring them back to the room? Thanks!

You can bring anything from full bottles of wine to glasses of liquor from almost any bar........or room service. Unfortunately, Royal Caribbean frowns on people bringing full bottles of liquor onboard. Rick

wolfcathorse Posted March 8, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 8, 2009 Don't know why wine is acceptable, if booze isn't-- Because wine only runs between 7-14% alcohol. Booze runs much higher...40% or more. Therefore, you're less likely to do something stupid after drinking a bottle of wine compared to the antics you'll try after downing a fifth of booze at one time!
