Credit card phone number - -

The husband and I each take a different credit card, so if one of us loses a card, we still have a usable credit card.

I just read in a magazine that storing the credit card's phone number in your cell phone is a good idea. You can quickly call them to report if it gets lost/stolen.

Yes it is a good idea. Also a good idea to have available:

a) same information for debit/atm card

b) account numbers for all the above

c) Passport number and info

I also called the credit card company and let them know when my vacation was and that I'd be out of the country...it was all thru the phone. I didn't want to be trying to make a purchase, and they put a stop on my card. They also gave me a toll free number to call in case I was having problems.

You can only do within 30 days of your trip.
