ROBERTEVANOVER Posted March 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Hi, We have a trip on the SKY coming up in May and I was wondering if anyone know what water sports options are available on the NCL private island. Our 11 year old loves kayaks and paddle boats. Also, any one go to Paradise Beach in Nassau on their own? Robert
Dukegirl5577 Posted March 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Snorkeling, parasailing, and lounging around on a float. That's it for watersports. It would be nice if you could rent kayaks, but that's not available. There's also a volleyball court on the beach.

Dukegirl5577 Posted March 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2009 I loved GSC. It was a really relaxing, fun day. Lots of beautiful colorful fish when snorkeling. Plenty of loungers, hammocks. Great beach day!
Ladder55 Posted March 12, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Thanks....did you like the beach http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=942285 I hope i copied this right, this link has some really good pictures of the private island great stirrup cay, its pretty long but if you scroll you can see the pictures, on a good beach day, its nice but your are packed in like sardines, there are some more private areas on the beach if you venture out a bit. have a great cruise
ROBERTEVANOVER Posted March 12, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Thanks...it did look great. I think we will venture a way to get some private time. Are there usually more than one ship visiting?
islandgirlejfan Posted March 12, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2009 NCL I believe was the first to have their own island and they have sort of outgrown it. Only one ship is there at a time...it couldn't handle more than that. It's one of our favorite stops on the cruise even with the crowds.
