radtech Posted March 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Just a short question to all who have sailed on Ruby Princess and have disembarked at Port Evegaldes. What time is the earliest that you can leave the ship and will they let you take off your own luggage yourself ????
TJM001 Posted March 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2009 If you are willing to tote your own luggage Princess will let you be the first ones off the ship. The time however is out of their hands. They can not allow anyone off until Customs and Immigration have cleared them to do so. It should be around 8 a.m. but you can never be sure. spongerob Posted March 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Sometimes a bit earlier, or even much earlier since the ship often arrives in the wee hours. Tom is right, however, it definitely depends on the day and whether the mood that ICE happens to be in.
sherman931 Posted March 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 12, 2009 I carried our own luggage and was off the ship before 8 AM. However, no matter what means you use for your luggage....no one leaves until customs/immigration clears the ship for disembarkation
1 HappyCruiser Posted March 12, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 12, 2009 We recently did self disembark in Port Everglades and were off the ship, to the airport, through customs and sating waiitng at our gate at 7:20am. We actually got off the ship at a 6:31am. We easily made a 9:16am flight as we have done several time in the past. You like living dangerously. PescadoAmarillo Posted March 12, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Not the Ruby, but on the Emerald in January (same size ship), the walk-off's were walking down the gangway at 7:20, both turnaround days that we saw. However, we've seen (on B2Bs) on cruise totally disembarked by 9am and the very next cruise the first people were getting off at 10:40, so it can happen.
