Thanks! i should have said i used yahoo, not google. maybe that makes the difference in not getting ???
hkolln Posted March 15, 2009 #28 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Thank you for the info! When I tried to book (what a great deal!) it asked for 1419.95 for a deposit (odd amount). We will have 4 people...isn't that incorrect? Before I book I want to make sure this place is charging correctly.

royd1968 Posted March 15, 2009 #31 Share Posted March 15, 2009 that site was a bit misleading, I ran through the entire reservation process, and it ended up coming out exactly the same as what I paid yesterday through carnival, but at first glance it appeared as though they were offering it $400 cheaper..... hkolln Posted March 15, 2009 #32 Share Posted March 15, 2009 for some reason they are wanting $350 a person deposit. thats what I paid yesterday I thought it should be 250/pp...plus the 19.95 fee. I think I'll call Carnival instead. Thanks!

hkolln Posted March 15, 2009 #35 Share Posted March 15, 2009 It's nice to save money however I prefer to book directly with Carnival. I was hoping to find a great deal though :) The PVP I had for my last booking is gone...so I'll call the one that I was referred to. Thanks everyone! Im telling you, I was on the phone with carnival demanding the lower rate as it appeared on that site. It clearly says on the early saver rate that if I find a lower valid fare, that I get the difference in onboard credit, so she had me run through the entire booking, and it did come out exactly to the penny what I paid through carnival yesterday
DanusLight Posted March 15, 2009 #37 Share Posted March 15, 2009 okay, finally found the site that has the 2010 cruises listed. with all the interest maybe y'all should start a group! thanks for the info. dh thinks i'm crazy for planning this far in advance .. but you have to feed the addiction somehow! I totally agree! My dh thinks I'm insane talking about a June 2019 Alaskan cruise. I too need to feed the addiction. And we can also visit some family in WA while there before/after the cruise! gazingm42 Posted March 15, 2009 #47 Share Posted March 15, 2009 I had to pay $350 through carnival. maybe its a new alaska thing or something.... my other alaska cruises I only had to put down $250 Last year when we went again with 4 we had to pay the $350 PP up front to hold it. I am VERY disappointed that 2010 that they are no longer doing the oneway trips. We like spending 2 weeks afterwards in Anchorage. So guess next year I am going need to find a new Cruise line to Alaska :(
crzndeb Posted March 15, 2009 #48 Share Posted March 15, 2009 The May 11th date would be perfect since my bday is May 17th or the week after.I loved when RCI Radiance was here doing the short 4 days trips...I went on my birthday 2 years in a row and it was great for a cruise fix. anamanxs Posted March 16, 2009 #49 Share Posted March 16, 2009 Hi, Just contacting them about doing a group tour on May 11th. Hopefully if they don't let me if not maybe they will let someone else. Let you know what I find out. The prices are good that are listed, if they do not let me host I will be booking on May11. I will be coming from VA. A group would be fun since we have a year to get to know everyone.
ajhunt2 Posted March 16, 2009 #50 Share Posted March 16, 2009 Using Yahoo really helped. It's listed on carnival's site that they'll have one in Sept. 2010 but if you try to go to it it won't show it..... I'm curious to see if they do any onboard credit specials, etc. Through my favorite discount airline I found oceanview for $1583.
