Carnival Suites......

It depends on your situation. If you are booking 4 adults then I would book 2 rooms and not stay in the suite. Probably cheaper on most cruises to book 2 rooms than a suite. If I was booking 2 adults and 2 children then I would book a suite.

I use to book a suite for me and my kids. They are getting older now so we book 2 cabins side by side and open the balcony divider. its nice to have 2 bathrooms. For just me and my wife I don't think I would book a suite. I would save the money for another cruise. For 2 people a Balcony cabin is just fine for us.

Depends on the suite and what kind of deal you can get. A Cat 11 sleeps only 3. So....if you can book a suite guarantee for 4, the rate is much lower than booking a Cat 12, you can get a good deal.

At least that was the case for us on the Fascination a few weeks ago. I upgraded my booking from an OV about 6 weeks out. The OV was about $1350 and we got the Cat 12 for $2000. Well worth the upgrade in my book as we have 2 school age kids that were going to be in the room with us and I LOVE having a balcony.

When we looked in the OV, I was SO glad I upgraded. Just call me a balcony snob!;)
