imluvncruzn Posted March 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 21, 2009 We live close to the Canadian border and travel across to Canada frequently. Therefore, my family all have NEXUS passes. I've read on the Homeland Security site that the NEXUS pass can be used in lieu of the passport and is accepted for entry to the US by air, land, or sea. I imagine not a lot of people are familiar with this but I was wondering if anyone knew if I could use this for my upcoming cruise? I am aware that I only need a certified birth certificate and driver's license, as that's what we used a few months ago. I just wanted to see if anyone's used a NEXUS pass or has any more information about it. Here is a link to the Homeland Security website that has more info about the NEXUS pass: http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/newsroom/fact_sheets/travel/nexus_fact.ctt/nexus_fact.pdf
jd-mac Posted March 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 21, 2009 I beleive the Nexus pass on sea entry refers to pleasure craft only and as yet is not used at cruise ship terminals.
