Charleston, SC Taxi rec?

DH and I will be leaving on NCL Majesty next Saturday 3/28. We are driving down that morning. We will be staying on Daniel Island the weekend after we get back, and plan on parking our car there during the week we are gone. We have arrangements to get back to where we are staying, but not to get to the cruise terminal on the 28th. What is a good taxi company to use? Any idea of how much it would $$ from Daniel Island to the cruise terminal? It's just the 2 of us. Thank you!

Are you set on Daniel Island?

It is kinda closed in and has a small bar/eatery area but other than that is in the boonies...

As for taxi it's mostly likely around $20-25 for the 2. There's just no easy way getting to downtown from Daniel Island... although it is in the City of Charleston it is in another county and you have to take a interstate to either North Charleston, then down I-26 or thru Mt. Pleasant... not close either way.

Mt. Pleasant would be easier to do.

See thread here about places in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

We're staying with my brother-in-law in Daniel Island, so yes, we're set on it. I was looking for some recommendations for a taxi co. Thank you!

Nice place... When the housing boom was in full swing you had to put down a bid on a house and then see if you were picked to buy in a lottery...

Names and numbers of cabs... have a great time!

Hey Bobsfamily,

I read somewhere that you said the streets of Charleston start getting really busy around 11:00 am with cruise traffic.

Are the streets around the terminal jammed or could someone dropping off passengers get in fairly easily? How is the intersection of Market and East Bay? Any suggestions on where to be dropped off to avoid any traffic?

That area would be fine as long as you go down King and then turn down Market towards East Bay. If you can pass East Bay go to the next road and be dropped off. If your luggage is light you would be within a short walk.
