January/November Weather

LIV 2 CRUISE

Recommended Posts

We did the Eastern Med and Egypt in mid-November. We had wonderful weather throughout our cruise, but November CAN be cool and rainy in some ports. For example, we had lovely weather in Istanbul (probably 55 degrees F in the morning but warmed up to near 70), but heard that the week before our visit they had cold weather and snow. In Ephesus it was about the same, maybe a couple of degrees warmer and quite sunny.

Egypt will be perfect for sightseeing in either November or January.

We did Egypt and Jordan in January and it was perfect weather for sight-seeing....too cool for swimming but lovely for sitting on deck. Also did Istanbul and Athens but in October, which was wonderful.

But somewhere along the line I remember hearing someone tell me that they have terrible sand storms in Cairo and I thought it was during Oct. and Nov. I could be wrong but I suggest you check into it because when they have a sandstorm it shuts everything down and you cannot go outdoors!
