Coco Creek Posted March 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2009 I booked a solid deal on the Diamond Princess being offered for an Austraiia-New Zealand cruisetour in the BE and BF staterooms at the front of the ship. Other than the usual front of the ship rocking and rolling, is there any reason for these rooms to be priced $2500 per person less than BD and BC cabins just a few doors down the hall? skf Posted March 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Just guessing...maybe they were not selling. We are doing 22-days Vancouver to Beijing, Sept 12 on Diamond, & were booked in guarantee Cat K, which we did somewhat reluctantly. We were going to book 15-days Whittier to Beijing in a higher Cat but by downgrading our expectations we added 7-days & the savings on airfare to Alaska nearly paid for the first week. Then a few days ago Princess dropped the price on BF cabins so we upgraded from Cat K (an upgrade of 3 classes & 18 categories) for about $8 extra.
