bobstack Posted March 30, 2009 #10 Share Posted March 30, 2009 Hi Richard and Heather: Donna and I had a great time with you, on land and on the seas! You were so good to support me at the Karaoke contest in my rendition of "The Grundy County Auction Incident!" There you were in the front row, and I could see you. Thank you for your support. It was fun to go up there and act like I was 21 again. We hope that we will see you on another cruise. You two have the right relationship, and helped us have a great vacation. Blue skies and calm waters to you, Bob and Donna
AudioFilly Posted March 30, 2009 #11 Share Posted March 30, 2009 Well, Bob, how in the world did we miss that you were one of our fellow CCers? There we were cheering on Houndmom for all we were worth and I never realized we should have been cheering for you, too. I had never heard the Grundy County song before and had such a great time both times I saw you perform it. You were so nice and seemed to encourage every single contestant that got up there, even on "tryout" nights when some were a little worse for wine. Although the 2 sisters that performed Jolene together were fun to watch. :p And then we had the nerve to kick you off of our Trivia team, too. Was I the only one who didn't know you were a Spring Flinger? Pistol Packin Mama Posted March 30, 2009 #12 Share Posted March 30, 2009 I loved The Adult Day Care at night :-) I got the CD We were o the Voyager in February and loved the ship and the Adult Day Care at night. We also got the CD and had a great time. We had an awesome CC group on board and did lots of things together. Really enjoyed Fins & Feathers in Roaatan, and the Cozumel bar hop tour. Going on a "Ladies Cruise" in April on her sister ship the Mariner to Cabo, & the MR. Hope to have as good a time.
bobstack Posted April 1, 2009 #13 Share Posted April 1, 2009 Audiofilly and fellow cruisers: Thanks for the kind words on my Grundy County Auction presentation for karaoke. I met my wife while I was a student thirty-some years ago nearby in Champaign County, IL. It was like an auction in the girls dorm, to get the attention of the pretty coeds. And like John Michael Montgomery, I was go'in once, go'in twice, and I'm sold to this neat girl from Illinois. All of the singers in the competition made us happy, and we hope you enjoyed all of their songs, too. Thanks for supporting me and all of our karaoke singers. I am so happy we all remembered and sang our lines. Hope to see you all on blue waters soon, Bob and Donna
jwolf2006 Posted April 1, 2009 #14 Share Posted April 1, 2009 It was a great cruise, but "great weather" ??. The first sea day was gale force winds and the last sea day was that and cold! The Voyager didn't need a "waverider" on the last day, you could have used either of the main pools. Although the middle sea day was the best weather at sea that I've ever had! But the real reason I'm writing is that this thread has some the karaoke singers. I was (forced) to watch American Idol last night and without doubt, our karaoke singers were better than anyone I heard on that show! An awesome group.
