Past Guest Party

While I have no proof of this, it is my opinion that it varies from ship to ship, sailing to sailing. Some will include a 'guest' in the invite, others won't. Some are strict, others are not. I believe there is some sort of algorithm involved to get to the result. They are throwing a party and need to have some kind of a handle on how many to expect. If a ship is slap full of past guests, they may have to be very strict on the guest issue. If not, they relax things. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Someone please show me a photo of a Past Guest Reception invite that indicates a guest is allowed.

I've had two that specifically invite a guest and one that doesn't. Sadly, I didn't save any of them. :)

You might be thinking of this one. Two similar threads were started within a couple days of each other.

Nope, this was the post. One of mine was deleted as well. I never posted in the other one (I just checked to make sure).

Either way it doesn't bother me, I was just surprised.

If your most recent one was the one without the guest, then perhaps they have stopped inviting past guests with a guest.

I just got back from my 2nd cruise. When I got my invitation for the past guest party, it had one for my mom (it was just the two of us on the cruise). That was her first cruise. So, no, they haven't stopped allowing you to take a guest. Maybe its different for different ships, though.
