julesbeara Posted April 4, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 4, 2009 I'm looking for feedback from anyone that has sailed in cabin 9256 on any of the Radiance class ships. Just booked for a 9 night Mexican Riviera cruise in November. The pictures make the balcony look huge. Is the cabin size larger???
Merion_Mom Posted April 4, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2009 The cabin is the same size as any other D1 aboard the Radiance class ships. The balcony is bigger, however. We really enjoyed this cabin on the Jewel.
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted April 4, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2009 We have this cabin booked too for next year! Had friends from our M&M in there last trip. They loved it. Edit : I just typed 9256 in search and came up with loads of posts. This one in particular: http://cruiseforums.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=931058&highlight=9256

MIcruiser99 Posted April 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2009 We had 9256 on the Serenade. The cabin is the same size as any other D1 cabin but the balcony is larger. We loved it!
julesbeara Posted April 4, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted April 4, 2009 Do you feel the motion of the ship more? Any problems with the wind or exhaust from the ship? We typically sail midship, so I'm a little curious.
Annecj Posted April 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 5, 2009 We have had this cabin twice and it does have a great balcony. There are some times when you have no shade on the balcony depending on the direction of the ship and sun location. I didn't feel any more motion than at any other place on the ship even on our transatlantic.
Cherokeemoon Posted April 5, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Do you feel the motion of the ship more? Any problems with the wind or exhaust from the ship? We typically sail midship, so I'm a little curious. My husband and I were in this cabin for a cruise to Alaska. The balcony is huge, but I got very seasick the first day at sea and had to visit the sick bay for a shot. We booked a mid-ship balcony room on our next cruise....smaller balcony, but no rocking motion and no seasickness. I guess some people have stronger stomachs. tomko2 Posted April 5, 2009 #9 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Definitely one of our favourite cabins; have enjoyed several times: Jewel and Brilliance. Booked it again for our Med. cruise in August on the Brilliance. Lots of pictures of the cabin and balcony in the photo link below. Have never noticed motion problems. Overall a wonderful cabin with an awesome balcony. Kathy:)
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted April 5, 2009 #10 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Aft on Jewel..... no wind issues or exhaust noticed at all. Even on rough sea days didn't experience any sea sickness at all.
Loyal2RCCL Posted April 6, 2009 #11 Share Posted April 6, 2009 Great cabin and balcony.. the only issue we had was there is not much of an overhang above, so you don't get much shade and it does get hot back there.
