Swerve Posted April 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2009 You'll find out your cabin number somewhere between the arrival airport and boarding / exiting the coach to the dock/port.. You'll be given sticky backed labels to affix to your luggage, those labels have the cabin number on for the porterage to your cabin. I don't ever remember Thomsons sending excursion itineraries out but if you go to the Thomsons website, find your cruise and you'll see the ports of call. If you need any advice on those ports you can always ask on this here board. When you arrive at your cabin there will be reams of paper telling you about this, that and t'other. One of those will be the excursion booking form. Beware though, they do work out fairly expensive and you could easily do them DIY for half the price !!!!!!! There are plenty of experienced posters / cruisers on here who will be along shortly to advise you further ! Enjoy your cruise.
kruzseeka Posted April 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 8, 2009 Have booked to go on the Celebration in November, this will be are first cruise with Thomson (have been on Ocean Village 1+2),just got a couple of questions;when do they inform you of your cabin number? do they send you info about the trips they do and can we book them before we travel? Thanx You are allocated your cabin on arrival - unless you pre-book at a cost of £35 per cabin (at tleast I think that's the current charge). If you look at the Thomson site and go through a 'search' for any cruise once a selection of cruises is displayed, there is a banner across the top and one category is 'Ports of Call'. Select and then you can see all the destinations offered on all the itineraries. Choose those you are going to and it will tell you about the port of call and some of the trips on offer. This isn't always the definitive list though. Your Destinations Guide in your cabin once on board will describe all the available trips. You can't book before you get on board though. Anything you really want to do - get your booking form in asap once on board - especially if it says 'Limited Availability' in the Destinations Guide. Hope this helps.
