witz1103 Posted April 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2009 We are booked on a cruise/tour. We arrive in Seward and are to go to the SeaLife Center and then aboard the ship. My husband and I would like to take a Kenai Fjords excursion. The only way to fit this in is to skip the SeaLife Center and do Kenai Fjords as soon as we arrive by train. Is this allowed? Will Celebrity allow us to not attend a portion of the tour and then to board the ship later that day? Has anyone done this before? Thanks, Terri
wolfie11 Posted April 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2009 You're passengers, not prisoners. Just tell them that you have alternative plans for the day. Of course they'll let you on the ship.
Yukon Posted April 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted April 12, 2009 You're paying for a tour you're not getting, though - there are other ways to get to Seward so you can do your own thing.
Budget Queen Posted April 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 13, 2009 And this is NOT going to be available to you IF YOU ARE on a cruise contracted train. Which MOST likely you are. You will have to EXIT the cruisetour, in Anchorage- BOOK, and PAY for the regular run of the Alaska RR yourself. Then book an 11:30am Kenai Fjords boat tour. As Murray mentions, you are not going to be using about $200+++ which you are paying for.
