kariee Posted April 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Has anyone who's recently been in Nassau booked this excursion on Carnival? It's $89. I am just wondering if you have, what your experience was. Here is the description: Relax and soak up the warm Caribbean sun at the world famous Atlantis Resort – lunch is included. Begin with a 20-minute transfer by bus to the world famous Atlantis Resort where you will disembark and walk a short distance to the Atlantis Resort. Enjoy a reserved area on the beach where you will be provided a chair and towel to bask in the sun, sand and surf; the resort’s 141-acre waterscape comprises 20 million gallons of fresh and seawater, along with exhibits and lagoons containing over 250 species of fascinating sea creatures. See a maze of archaeological ruins and excavations called “The Dig” and enjoy lunch at either the Dive In, Shark Bites Express, Break Water Grill or River Bend Cart snack bars. Explore the resort, enjoy gaming in the Caribbean’s largest casino or embark on a shopping expedition and stroll through over 20 colorful shops in the Marina Village. kwbound Posted April 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2009 I'd like to know about this excursion also. Do you get to see all of the Aquarium or is that an extra cost? Are there water toys available on the beach? Is there a bar area for drinks? I'm having the hardest time deciding what to do in Nassau. Thanks for any info. You get to see the full aquarium including the predator lagoons etc. The beach is a restricted area.. just for cruisers. There is a beach bar.. but there is no beach service. you have to get it yourself.
cruiseapril Posted April 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 18, 2009 We did this excursion, but it is expensive for what you get. (You can get tickets just for the Dig- the beach is nice, but sometimes water is cool and rough.) There's so much to do in Nassau- something for everyone.
