CTCruisers Posted April 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 18, 2009 We are sailing from England to Ireland and back next month. This will be my wife's first visit to Ireland and we were wondering if they stamp your passport when coming/leaving the country via cruise ship? This will be my wife's first visit to Ireland and we were wondering if they stamp your passport when coming/leaving the country via cruise ship? If you're on a cruise ship and the call in Ireland is just a normal port call, it's most unlikely that your passport will be stamped. That's the same as for port calls in most countries. If you were to fly from the UK to Ireland, you might get your passport stamped on arrival in Ireland, which has an inbound immigration control on flights from the UK for those who are not British or Irish nationals. But if you were to fly from Ireland to the UK, there is no immigration control so you wouldn't get a UK stamp.
SkystheLimit Posted April 20, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 20, 2009 Our experience has been that if you ask they will stamp your passport.
