BSQ Posted May 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2009 On my recent cruise aboard the Splendor to ummm, San Francisco, I purchased 2 tubes of Turin Jose Cuervo Especial chocolates from the on board gift shop. They are rancid. I really wish I was exaggerating, but I’m not. I just unsealed one tube and unwrapped a chocolate. The chocolate had bloomed, but I know that can happen with temperature fluctuations but usually doesn’t affect the taste. So I bit into it. Ugh! Spit it right back into the wrapper. It was hard, stale and all around icky. These particular candies are suppose to have a liquid center filling, kind of the same consistency of a chocolate covered cherry candy. The center was hollow. Who would I contact about this? I browsed around the Starboard Services website, but it only makes mention of jewelry purchases. Do they handle the sundries shop also? They really need to pull those things off the shelf.
navybaby1113 Posted May 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2009 I would just call Carnival's 1-800 number and see if they could direct you to someone. Guest Services would be my guess.
