What kind of flight carryon (Rome airport) to keep stuff safe from thieves?

Recommended Posts

On a happier note, I went to AAA two days ago to buy my international driving permit ($15 and essential to avoid large police fines in several European countries), and saw one of those small personal stash bags a woman can attach to her bra, which easily holds ATM/credit/ship ID-size cards and folded cash.

I normally wear a money belt, as does spouse (so there never, but never, is a need to worry at all about the countless pickpocket stories on this board), but when I travel in hot weather, it gets a bit uncomfortable around my waist after a while. So for $5.99 I purchased one, tried it out yesterday, and absolutely loved it.

... The safe was removed from the wall by brutal force of some kind. The next day however, all their documents (minus the cash) were thrown back into the hotel room through an open window. Highly unlikely for this to happen but it did. I however still leave my passport in my hotel room safe.
If only all thieves were that considerate. :)
