QM2 June 19th crossing

My husband and I will be on our first cruise on the Queen Mary 2 on June 19th (he is a big James Taylor fan). I have seen posts from others who will also be on the ship for that TA trip. Any ideas on daywear in terms of temps on deck, etc.? I was thinking capris and lighter weight tops for inside the ship (for me, not my husband). Should I be thinking something warmer? Also, any advice about making spa reservations ahead of time? Any other "must do" things to do onboard from you seasoned cruisers? Thanks in advance.

Allehons, we'll be getting off the ship the day you get on! Sailing from the UK on June 13th, it's our first time on the QM2. We're huge JT fans, and I'm just curious, are you travelling especially to see JT, or were you crossing at that time anyway? I'm so envious you'll get to see him perform twice on the trip, I believe. We'll see him in the UK on our return, on June 30th. We've seen him lots of times, you're in for a great treat as he'll have his band with him too.

With regards to clothes in the day, I'm assuming similar to yourself - capris, t-shirts, cardigans, skirt. Maybe shorts if we're lucky. I'm just taking a lightweight 3/4 sleeve jacket. We can't carry too much as we're flying quite a bit - staying in New York then moving on to Clearwater to visit friends.

Enjoy your trip :)

We took the May 25th sailing out of Southampton. It was cloudy, windy, and cool just about every day. A few weeks can make a difference but I would take some warmer clothes just in case. Also, the temperature was variable across the ship. Some areas were warm while other areas were frigid. :)

Please join the roll call for the June 19th crossing. It's called "QM2 Eastbound TA June 19th, 2009." We are getting together at 2 p.m. on June 20th in the Commodore Club, near the piano. There are about 18 of us so far.
