VirginiaNY Posted June 11, 2009 #1 Posted June 11, 2009 We are excited to be booking our first Princess cruise tomorrow! One topic that has come up is that we like traditional dining because of the friendships we have made. However, we would also like to try the specialty restaurants. Can you still do that with traditional dining? On RCCL, we would just let our waiter know the night we weren't going to be there.
DanJ Posted June 11, 2009 #2 Posted June 11, 2009 Yes by all means, go to the specialty restaurants. You would be best advised to make reservations as soon as you board as prime times fill up fast. It's courteous to let either your waiter, or your tablemates know the night before that you won't be coming in so they don't wait for you.

Just make reservations and let your waiter or dining companions know.
sunviking82 Posted June 11, 2009 #5 Posted June 11, 2009 I was much like you and thought I preferred traditional dining, but did Anytime and LOVED IT! You can sit with other if you wish and meet different people everynight. Did traditional on our last trip and truely missed the flexibility of Anytime dining. Welcome to Princess.

We also like anytime because we were able to eat dinner with people we meet from our roll call.
