travelntreats Posted June 14, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2009 LOL.... I am truely amazed at the folks that want to know what is on the menus before they cruise. The excitement of a new menu each day is half the fun of the cruise ! I certainly would not allow a menu of food options ruin my cruise just because the menu did not appeal to me... There is so much available onboard a ship and I am sure that something will appeal to me. And the menu is posted daily outside the dining room(s) so you can decide if you would prefer to eat elsewhere if needed i.e. Lido buffet, Pizza, Room Service, etc... And before anyone starts flaming....it is just my opinion !
MrPete Posted June 14, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 14, 2009 I agree with that opinion. I won't even look at the menu on the TV, or at the DR entrance. I like to see what's there just after they hand me the menu, usually as they are draping my napkin in my lap.

Most of us don't look at the menus on TV once we are on the ship, but when we are home waiting to cruise, it's kind of interesting to see what is being offered. Adds to the excitement! tiger belle Posted June 15, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 15, 2009 right...and it's still exciting and a surprise to me when I am on board, since I will have forgotten the menus by the first night of dining! :D
davy jones Posted June 15, 2009 #9 Share Posted June 15, 2009 From the number of posts, the OP may be a first time cruiser and trying to get a feel on what type of dishes are served in MDR to assist the decision making process. More experienced cruisers have a pretty good idea or what to expect and significant deviations from those expectations will likely be noted by someone on these boards. (ie. filet or fruit punch) :)
