Travelcat2 Posted June 23, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 23, 2009 I found your question most interesting. My experience is that cruises in the U.K. are less than in the U.S. Even though my husband is a dual citizen, we are unable to make a booking from England:o

Rare Keith1010 Posted June 23, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2009 We have several friends from the UK. They tell us that certain cruises are cheaper to book through a UK TA. Specifically, those that involve cruising in Europe where they say they get many promotonal rates for last minute bookings and when I say last minute not the week before but ones that are two to four months before where the cruise line realizes occupancy is much lower than desired. For other cruises they have found that a USA TA works better for them. My advice would be if you find a cruise you are interested to try both avenues to compare this first hand for yousself. chrispb Posted June 23, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 23, 2009 Hawaii and Alaska cruises are definitely cheaper for US customers. That's even allowing for extra for flights on top. I've done a search on some UK websites and can't get any prices at all for some cruiseships.
mapsmith Posted June 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Do a search on CLIA. That should give them all. (and since CLIA is an organization of Agents, this should not violate T&C)

On monday, I booked a cruise thro' the US office, it was £700 cheaper than in the UK.
