Cruise Agents in U.S

Essentially

Recommended Posts

I have been reading that it can sometimes be cheaper for us Brits to book our cruise through an American agent.....so with so many well cruised persons on here. Who would you recommend...thanks:D

Unfortunately, forum rules, not allowed to mention them, but, they are not always cheaper.

I found your question most interesting. My experience is that cruises in the U.K. are less than in the U.S. Even though my husband is a dual citizen, we are unable to make a booking from England:o

There is no reason why you cannot book through a US TA, there are many US TA's on this site but the are not allowed to advertise as such.

We have several friends from the UK. They tell us that certain cruises are cheaper to book through a UK TA. Specifically, those that involve cruising in Europe where they say they get many promotonal rates for last minute bookings and when I say last minute not the week before but ones that are two to four months before where the cruise line realizes occupancy is much lower than desired. For other cruises they have found that a USA TA works better for them. My advice would be if you find a cruise you are interested to try both avenues to compare this first hand for yousself.

Hawaii and Alaska cruises are definitely cheaper for US customers. That's even allowing for extra for flights on top. I've done a search on some UK websites and can't get any prices at all for some cruiseships.

As other posters have said, check out both UK & US agents. On monday, I booked a cruise thro' the US office, it was £700 cheaper than in the UK.
