Gourmet Cooks Posted July 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 7, 2009 Has anyone heard of any plans to upgrade the monster tube TV's to LCD flat screens? RCI seems to be slightly behind the curve in this area compared to other lines. We will be on the Navigator in May '10.
cb at sea Posted July 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 7, 2009 One day...but in the meantime, the cabins are so small, it really doesn't make that much difference. And there's really not that much to be seen on TV anyway!

I think they went in during the refurbishment.
arucruzn Posted July 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 7, 2009 How about on the Monarch? Older ship, but recently renovated, flat screen or regular tube tv? Not that it matters, won't be spending a lot of time in cabin....
CruisinManiac Posted July 7, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2009 Do the JS on the AOS have them?

kellyco Posted July 7, 2009 #8 Share Posted July 7, 2009 Do the JS on the AOS have them? We were on AOS in May in a GS and had an older TV. The OS had flat screens.

yogimax Posted July 7, 2009 #10 Share Posted July 7, 2009 As the useful life of the tvs comes to an end, they will all be replaced by flatscreens. But it will be over a period of years.

BroncosFan2010 Posted July 8, 2009 #13 Share Posted July 8, 2009 In March, the Serenade did not have flat screens in the Balcony rooms (non-suite).
Pumbaamd Posted July 8, 2009 #14 Share Posted July 8, 2009 We were on Monarch in January. No flat screen. On Voyager in February. Yes, a very nice flat screen. On Majesty in May, another cool flat screen. On Majesty again in September, in the same cabin, better have that same flat screen! On Oasis Dec. 1. How flat will that screen be?
