shuttle

Recommended Posts

the best way is to make it much later in the day. Even if everything is perfect your flight is WAY too early. You must be at the airport minimum 1 hour ahead and you would need to do self-disembarkation and grab a taxi. It is about a 30 minute ride with NO traffic.

Even if you are allowed off at 7am (ship has to clear ) you need to get off, go through customs, get to the taxi area . We allow an hour for the actual disembarkation and formalities. You need to call your airline and make your flight later.

Funny how people interpret the title of some threads. I live in Florida a couple hours away from Cape Canaveral so I thought you were going to ask if you would be able to see the space shuttle launch from your ship or hotel or something as it is scheduled to launch Saturday (if the weather cooperates).

As far as your question I agree with Sue. I think you are cutting it way too close. If your ship is a few minutes late getting in or disembarkation is delayed you could easily miss your flight. And who knows how long it will take to get through security at LAX! Why end your vacation all stressed out? Just my opinion, which you didn't ask for. Sorry!

I agree with the other posters. When we were coming back from Hawaii to San Diego we encountered a medical emergency on the ship. We were a day and a half from Hawaii. The ship had to turn back. Our flights were to be around 1pm out of San Diego. We missed our flight had to go to LAX by shuttle to get a flight back home. We actually saw our flight take off as we stood on the ship.

So you never know what may happen. Rebook so you won't have any "stress".
