Longhorn1 Posted July 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2009 Hi Everyone...I have a question about Stars. Both times I have been on Mariner, this Club was virturally deserted. Any change in "format" there as a result of the dry dock, or is it the same? Secondly, I have never been on Voyager but have looked at the deck plans. Maybe I'm a bit dense, but I can't figure what they did with that space on Voyager...they must have made something bigger that the ships have in common or, does the Voyager have a "Stars" that I have missed? Thanks!
Travelcat2 Posted July 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2009 I don't recall Stars on the Voyager. During the summer, the Mariner uses Stars for their kids program. When we were on the Mariner (right before Alaska season last year), it was a smoking lounge (a very smokey smoking lounge with smoke wafting out to the hallways from under the doors). I hear that they do have entertainment as well as special events in that venue. On the Navigator, Stars is outside of the theater -- a rarely used lounge (at least when we've been on board). . . . .an area where they held the art auction (yuck). The Voyager has so many wonderful spaces -- they really don't need a Stars lounge.
Longhorn1 Posted July 13, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted July 13, 2009 Thanks VC2...I think I agree that they don't really need a Stars at all and probably don't know what to do with the space. The DJ thing never seems to work...I never saw anyone in there during our last Mariner cruise.
OrpingtonT Posted July 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2009 The smoking lounge on Voyager is the Constellation Club, entrance right by the theatre.
AtMaui Posted July 13, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2009 My last Mariner cruise was Alaska last June and Stars was busy almost every night as a disco. The DJ wasn't that great but we just told him what to play and, if he had it, he played it! A lot of crew members came in after they were done with whatever it was they were doing.
