Ducky61 Posted July 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2009 We are travelling on Serrenade of the Seas and at Juneau we will dock at the ADJ dock, does anyone know if there is a shuttle to town. Thanks.
Coolcruise02 Posted July 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2009 Yes, there was a shuttle but I don't know the exact cost. I think it was $6 round trip. We actually walked and it took us 15-20 minutes. We didn't dock til 11:30 and everyone was ready to get off the ship at the same time. We waited for the rush to go and when we got to the shuttle line it was looooong. After standing a few minutes and no shuttle in sight we decided to walk and a group of people behind us followed also.
Ducky61 Posted July 15, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Thanks coolcruise02, was the walk to town straight forward (not hard to figure out), and was there any hills?
PennyAgain Posted July 15, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Juneau rises up for the waterfront in wedding cake fashion, but you can see quite a bit before arriving at the major league hills.
home fitness gyms Posted July 15, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Its just a short walk....we enjoyed the view. I couldn't imagine paying and also waiting in line for a bus ride.

If you see the point where the tram lands that is where you are headed for. You actually have to walk away from town for a short distance and make a U turn on the road into town. It looks like you should be able to cut thru the pier area but there are chain link fences blocking you. It is a very small grade hill to the main road then downhill into town. Of course, coming back you would be walking uphill, but our excursion with Orca took us back to the ship. (picture a "J" laying on it side with the tram station at the flat top part)
