CruisingGoddess Posted July 21, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 21, 2009 (I promise I searched for the answer before posting this!) We're sailing the Voyager of the Seas during Thanksgiving in the Med. The temp is supposed to be in the 50's-60's. Will the pools on the ship still be available and are they heated? Thanks in advance!
JanineM Posted July 21, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 21, 2009 The pools are not heated, except for the hot tubs!

Don't know if Voyager has a covered pool like Solarium but if it does then I'm guessing that will be heated and available to all.

No, none of the Voyager class has covered solarium. It is one of the reasons I am sailing on the Brilliance for the Med in in Oct, as she does have the indoor pool. negc Posted July 22, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 22, 2009 Neither the Voyager or Freedom class ships have covered pools. I don't believe that they drain them regardless of the temperatures (anyone who has sailed the Explorer out of NYC in the winter can confirm this and may be able to advise you whether or not the pools are heated.) When the ships are sailing in the Caribbean there is little or no need to heat the pools regardless of the time of year.:)
Rancher Dave Posted July 22, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 22, 2009 They get drained and refilled all the time...unless the weather is too rough. In AK they were open most of the time, just nobody wanted to be in them when it was really cold, well except for the kids on their slide. Enjoy your cruise.
