lfox02 Posted July 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Hi all! I have been reading the boards for a while now, but this is my first post, so I am excited! Anyway, my fiance and I will be getting married next year, just one month after graduating from undergrad. I have been on two cruises before, one on Carnival and one on Norwegian, but she has never been, so it should be quite an experience! As the planner in our relationship, I have a few questions. While we are not an exclusive couple at all, we would like to have our own dining table at dinner. Is this possible? Would the early, late, or anytime dining options be best? We will probably be eating in the Supper Club one night, as well. Is there any particular night that is better than another for this? Finally (for now anyway), we booked a balcony room at the ESR. To monitor the price most easily, do I just bookmark the Carnival booking page, and check that everyday? Will this show me the past cruiser and residential rates? Are there any other places that I should check for cruise price comparisons as well? Thanks everyone! Your help will be greatly appreciated! I can't wait for our big trip!! DaDivaMom Posted July 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Since you are young I would request a table for two at the late seating or if you are spontaneous then just go with anytime! I just check the Carnival site for easy saver drops but others have a special site they use. Congrats on your upcoming nuptials and your hard earned degree! Have fun. lfox02 Posted July 24, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted July 24, 2009 ^^ haha i meant that we enjoy the company of others, but want our own private table for our honeymoon :-) We have been very exclusive for the past five years now. So, can we be assigned a private table in either the late seating or the anytime seating? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? cupcake26 Posted July 24, 2009 #5 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Some fabulous person on here invented a thing called Cruise Shark to check prices. . . . Check that thing out!
Carolina Cruiser x2 Posted July 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted July 24, 2009 Congratulations! My husband and I took our Honeymoon Cruise on the Legend as well. We sailed 5/24 - 5/31. After arriving, we went to the dining room and requested a private table. We didn't get it until Monday but had it the remainder of the week. This was really nice! We also went to the Supper Club one night. Definitely worth it!! I don't think the day of the week matters, but Monday and Friday will be "Cruise Elegant" in the dining room. We went on Friday. Hope you have a great trip!
Hollyspop Posted July 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted July 24, 2009 i would do the anytime dining. That way you will never be rushed or HAVE to stop doing somthing you are enjoying in order to go eat.:)
crystalight33 Posted July 24, 2009 #8 Share Posted July 24, 2009 We just had our honeymoon on the Legend June 28-July 5. I actually just finished writing a review of our experience here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1023218 We opted for the late seating, and we were put at a table with one other couple also on their honeymoon. We absolutely loved them! After spending all day together, just the two of us, at dinner, it was really really nice to talk with other people. The one night that our tablemates didn't show up, we were pretty bored. I thought that I wanted a table for two, but I wouldn't change our experience for anything. Have a blast and don't let your fiancee get too stressed out about the wedding!
