Miami Boarding

No--there aren't any "stores" in the port area. You can stop at a store on your way--a taxi will do that for you.

You can buy sodas on the ship by the can ($2.24 each) or buy a soda card for unlimited fountain soda, if you don't want to make a stop.

Or, drink tea, lemonade or water (or beer!) most of the time and only have the occassional soda!

i know this is always asked but what beverages is it okay to take on. i know that alcohol isn't (must be smuggled) but what can we take on that we don't have to be so clandestine about.

I think pretty much anything other than alcohol. Most people probably take sodas and water.

I'm sure all soft drinks are ok to take on board with you it's just alcohol they have problems with (lets not start on that one ;)) I have read that other cc members have tagged cases of soft drinks and it has turned up in their cabin along with their luggage or you can obviously take it on yourself :D

Can anyone confirm if there is a place in the port before we board where we can buy soft drinks from?

The question has been answered if you are looking for some to take on board... however... if you just want to buy something to drink before boarding.... while still on the sidewalk where you drop your luggage... and before you turn right to enter the building... walk straight ahead... there is a "roach coach" where you can buy snacks and drinks. All the employees, etc use it. Very convenient... just a few steps from the normal path to enter the building to check in.
