Conquest balcony help

I have a balcony 8C 8420 verandah aft portside currently reserved.

I inquired about the noise from the LIDO deck, but my TA assured me she has placed several people in the area and has no complaints. She also said that portside is good to see when coming into the port and forward feels more motion.

Please help decide I made the right decision. Is there any truth to this? I almost went with the BL guaranteed rate, but instead spent a little more on the past guest upgrade from 8A to 8C. Plus I was able to select my cabin. I don't with the guarantee I will get much better.

I am just so overwhelmed with the balcony.

I guess my dilemma has boiled down to this, please help

both are 8C on verandah deck

aft portside (currently reserved 8420) or

forward other side

The first does not have rooms above, but appears to be out of the way of possible noise. This is the side you will see the ports when docking???

The second has rooms above and below, but I have heard you feel every movement in the front.

Help is deciding is appreciated...soon.

tsk tsk on your agent. Port side doesnt necessarily mean that side faces the port- it depends on the captain-- what port- when you arrive= how many ships are already there when you get there= what time you leave.

I find that most times===one side faces port and the next side will face the next port. Your view could be of a ship that is docked next to you.

Many people that post here say they hear chair scrappings. Not all the time but enough that it could be annoying. Depends on how good you hear.

Forward does feel more motion- being in the aft as close to the aft elevator as possible is a great choice- it puts you very close to everything with less traveling.

If your agent can move you down to the Empress deck in the same general vacinty-- either side will do-- it will be a good move on your part-- as the empress deck is sandwhiched between cabins and away from public areas. your chance of being in a noisy area just dropped to zero.

PS-

you didnt give your other choice of cabin number.

when is your sailing date? I like to check what is available to you.

Another reason I would like to see you move-- does your agent realize she put you under the pizzeria---which is opened 24 hours a day?
