Room under the Lotus Spa on CB

Our inside gty. has been assigned and we are on the Riviera Deck directly beneath the Lotus Spa on the Caribbean Princess

Does anyone know if there will be additional noise in this location? I wonder if being under the spa affects the temperature in your room.

Riviera Deck is 14 (I was in R404) and Lotus Spa is on 16. Whenever I was in the Spa, it was quiet. The biggest problem on the Riviera deck is the noise, chair scratching, etc under the buffet and pool. We did not notice it too much unless we were on our balcony. We didn't feel it was as bad as some other posters thought, but maybe it is worse in other cabins. I think you are further forward, so probably not a problem.

If you are on Riveria deck, you won't be directly below the spa.

On our CB cruise this past May, we WERE just below the spa – our inside Lido cabin was directly below the men's sauna/steam area. It was blissfully quiet and cool in our stateroom, so no problems to report!

Thanks - of course you are both right -when I was looking at the deck plans I missed a whole level.

Sounds like we'll have a nice quiet room close to all the action.

For a gty. I'm quite pleased.

I am under the pool, just wondering if anyone has been in this cabin and how bad the noise is?

If you are truly under the pool, there should be no noise. If you are, however, directly under the area where there are deck chairs, you may hear noise as they put out the chairs in the morning or as people move them around during the day and evening.

I have been in R334, maybe it was R330, and we did manage at night with the chair scraping and table moving on the deck while they were cleaning, however, if you are inclined to take a nap during the midday, the noise is pretty loud.

We love the ship, but will not book that section of the Riviera deck again.

Good luck to you and enjoy your cruise.
