arrival in bermuda

Since NCL signed a ten year agreement with Bermuda for two big ships, with an exclusive from Boston, NCL usually gets to use the newly built dock. Without that long term agreement, I doubt whether Bermuda would have built a new wharf.

NCL isn't the only cruise line doing Bermuda with big ships, other cruise lines are using Kings Wharf. Two big ships can only share the same dock one at a time each week. Therefore NCL big ships are staying in Bermuda only three days.

The Spirit leaves Boston on Friday, sails to Bermuda on Saturday, docks in Bermuda Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and leaves on Wednesday morning taking two days to return.

The Dawn leaves New York City on Sunday, sails to Bermuda on Monday and Tuesday, docks in Bermuda Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, leaves Saturday morning taking one day to return. Notice one ship takes two days to sail to Bermuda and sails back in one day, whereas the other ship takes one day to sail to Bermuda and sails back in two days.

Unfortunately the big ships are too large to use St. George and Hamilton. Yes, there is an extra sea day either coming or going, and yes, one shore day with the big ships is lost...

Bermuda had no intentions of tearing up their environment to extend their previous docks and dredge their harbors for larger ships in St. George and Hamilton. However, they did build a new dock at the former naval base at the dockyards for the larger ships, doubling their capacity....

This is incorrect. The Dawn departs Bermuda at 5:00 PM on Friday.
