The Frenchmen Hotel

Recommended Posts

DH and I are cruising out of NOLA in October on CCL Fantasy. Most of my family lives outside of NOLA but DH and I have decided to stay the Friday before the cruise in a hotel. I booked the Frenchmen because it's close to all the sites we want to visit on Friday and it's authentic, which is what we love :) However, I don't really know much about the hotel and haven't found much information in previous threads. Anyone been before? Is it a decent hotel to stay in? Any recommendations on what room number I should suggest if it's possible? Thanks in advance!!!

i am booked with the same hotel in sept. go too tripadvisor.com and read about it. the reveiws are mixed but it is rated about 52 out of a hundred or so hotels in new orleans. i just talked to a very nice lady on the phone to confirm my reservation and she sounded very nice and helpful. the pool and hottub are up and running and she let me know that grayline tours picks you up there if you book a tour with them. i am not worried about being there for one night. have a great time.

I've stayed at the Frenchman a few times. It's nothing fancy, but it's in a great location. I've never had a problem with the cleanliness or the staff and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It's located in the Marigny (a great music location), a few blocks out of the French Quarter, but well within walking distance.
