Sail Off Celebration on Carnival Destiny

Hi...

Is there a sail off celebration on the Carnival Destiny? If so, could someone tell me about it? I'm a first time cruiser and don't really know what to expect when I get on the boat. Also, is the pool ready by the time the boat sails?

Most of the ship will be up on deck for sail away. It is a special time. Don't miss it. At least one pool will be open. Explore the ship, have lunch, do the boat drill and then.....enjoy your cruise.

Well I just got off and they had a sail away party on the lido deck (deck 9) with music. They had the Cupid shuffle (u'll know what it is once u get on the cruise), the electric slide, and the cha cha. I wasn't there, I was enjoying the scenary but they passed the videos more than once so I was able to see and I was hearing the music from where I was (outside the lobby on Deck 3). If u haven't been to Miami I would recommend to enjoy the view and take part of the sail away party if you would like. I'm going to be posting my review in a bit so hopefully it will give u more info. Which itinerary are you going to be doing?
