First forgot purse at home and had it Fedexed to her in Fort Lauderdale, plane issues delaying trip. Then the Carnival employee who was pushing her wheelchair tipped her out of it. She has black and blue mark and swelling on her foot and ankle. She called me as they were leaving Fort Lauderdale. She was on her way to the ship's doctor for the 5 p.m. appt the Purser's Desk made for her. Lets hope the rest of the trip is smooth sailing. I hope the incident doesn't mar what sounds like what will be an awesome cruise. Was she traveling alone or was Walt with her when it happened? if you hear from her tell her Robert and Genie from New Orleans wish her a speedy recovery and a great cruise! They are hooked. It is actually the second time they have taken this itinerary. I will pass along the well wishes. I hope to hear from her by email on how she is doing. Happy New Years to all. hill6 Posted December 31, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted December 31, 2004 Heard from my Mom a little while ago. They were in Belize along with the Miracle. She said that Bob Dickinson was about six cabins down from them and this morning a few of the ship's crew were in the hallway when he came out of his cabin and they all said "Good Morning Mr. Dickinson." My mom said it was like being in school saying good morning to the teacher. My Mom said hi to you Robert and Genie. She said that her knee and back were hurting her from her fall and that she was going back to the infirmiry for a follow up. They completed an accident report when she went to the doctor.
