3bear Posted August 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2009 Looking for the local fruit market in Lima for "Annona squamosa", commonly known as the sugar apple in the Bahamas(where I first had it);and chirimoya in Latin America.I saw a photo of this great tasting fruit but it didn't say where the market was. Here is a photo of the tree and fruit that has a soft white interior with large black hard seeds. Also I am looking for an alpaca skin where the locals would buy one,(cost?),not at a "tourist dock-side store". I hope someone has seen this fruit in Lima (Callao) or another port of call. Going on HAL Feb 6th San Diego-Peru 30 days R/T for other ports of call that you may have seen the fruit in a market. Thank you all.
