As far as I understand, the Fantasia is now doing some part-to-full charter cruises for something I don't really know what is, if a TA or a local cultural event promotion venue. Those procedures are not regular MSC fare. I believe part of your experience would have been due to the charter, other part due to the ongoing crew shortage.
