Waterskiing from Marina

Has anyone taken advantage of the free waterskiing offered at the Marina? If so, how was the experience?

I wanted to do it last year but didn't. Nor did I meet anyone who took advantage of this freebie either. My sister told me she wants to waterski on our upcoming trip. I think it would be fun but wonder why I never hear about peope doing it. :confused:

Not too bad except that you are behind a Zodiac which doesn't exactly YANK you out of the water! The skiing is fine, it's just the 'launch' that is tricky.

Yeah, I would avoid a single ski...two is much easier.

BTW - the water is flatter than the lake near our house, so that is NOT an issue.

LOL! We're used to flat water here. Stand up paddleboarding is excellent for flat water. Have you tried it?

Someone I know who builds stand up paddleboards out of Hawaii shipped 2 dozen to a client of his somewhere in FP (not Tahiti) back in January. The boards have been stuck in their shipping container at Papeete since Feb-March. I'm waiting to hear where these boards are going to be so we can rent them. The waters in FP are too nice to not do some stand up paddleboarding as far as I'm concerned!
