Follow Bill & Mary Ann’s Story Live On The Zaandam From Alaska To The South Pacific For 77 Days 9-4-24 To 11-20-24
WCB posted a topic in Holland America Line,
Well, here we are again…….starting another adventure which will take us to Alaska on three back-to-back seven day cruises, followed by a legendary trek through the South Pacific for 56 days. We have been lucky to have done this same itinerary for the past five or six years now. We’ll enjoy the cooler weather of the Pacific Northwest, then bake in the humid heat for several weeks as we head southwest for Hawaii and the many islands of Fiji, Samoa, Tonga below the Equator, then onto French Polynesia. San Diego will be our last stop before flying home in November.-

About to Become Live on QV
david63 posted a topic in Cunard Line,
We flew out from the UK yesterday arriving in a pleasntly warm, boarding on hot, Barcelona. However today we are sheltering in our hotel room as it is pouring down with rain outside and I can vouch for the fact that Spanish rain is equally as wet as UK rain. Fortunatly we are staying the very comfortable Monument Hotel which is sitated in the area of Barcelona where if you have to ask the price in the shops then you cannot afford to buy anything!-

Live from Nieuw Stat sailing from A to A!
Mike B Landlubber posted a topic in Holland America Line,
I arrived in Amsterdam three days early for my Amsterdam to Athens cruise. I blew a bunch of Hilton hotel points staying at Twenty Seven hotel in Amsterdam. It was really nice, but nothing special to recommend it as a base hotel for Amsterdam cruisers. As boarding day approached, I had some worries about protesters who have interfered with some cruise ship transits in Amsterdam, but no sign of them when the big day came. And I think boarding was the fastest and smoothest I’ve ever had.-

Live from Celebrity Reflection: Quick 4 day Getaway 9/16/2024
jam19872016 posted a topic in Celebrity Cruises,
Hello Everyone!
I am getting ready to head out on another cruise this time a quick four night escape on the Celebrity Reflection.
I will be solo again this trip as my mom is still awaiting her surgery and not comfortable driving long distances and I sadly did not have the time to go get her, just a quick four nights off from work and then back at it was all I had time for in the schedule at this time! I am moving back near her by the end of the year and so she will be definetly making another appearance very soon!-

LIVE Journey to Greenland on the Pride 9/8/24
rxlowry posted a topic in Carnival Cruise Lines,
I’m back for another live report! It’s been some time since my last Carnival adventure but I’m excited for this two week journey cruise.
I love that it’s is an easy hour ish drive to the port in Baltimore. This is our second time on the Pride as most of our Baltimore cruises were on our beloved NCL Majesty. It was in 2011 so I’m excited to see her again-

LIVE from Harmony, GIRLS CRUISE!, Sept 8, 2024
GetToLivin posted a topic in Royal Caribbean International,
It has been a long 8 months since my last sailing and I'm pleased to invite you along on my first-ever Girls Cruise! I'm lucky to have a great group of friends who plan trips together once or twice a year whether it's somewhere in the States or in this case, to the Caribbean. While this will be cruise #14 for me, it is the first for my friends Rachel & Holli and it is my full intention to make them cruise addicts 😉

Live from the HAL Noordam 9/8-15 2024 Alaska Southbound
VintageCheap posted a topic in Holland America Line,
Last fall some relatives were talking about Alaska cruising. HAL in fact. We have been fans, having been on the Veendam and R Class Rotterdam. I read poor reports here of dancing on the newer ships, and that dance floors had even been downsized or removed or not in the plans.-

Enchanted Princess Canada & New England “Live”
Captain Funtime posted a topic in Princess Cruises,
Sailed Saturday from the Red Hook terminal in Brooklyn. Uber from Laguardia was $98 before tip. First time sailing from Brooklyn. Not as organized as other ports. Once aboard things were better. We were sailed Enchanted in April so it came back to us quickly.-

Live-ish Alaska on the Edge 9-6 to 9-13
OrtonPark posted a topic in Celebrity Cruises,
Currently awaiting Lyft that will take us from the uh, serviceable Red Roof Inn Sea-Tac to Pier 91.
A note on this hotel: I booked it because I knew we were arriving in Seattle late, after a long travel day, and would not have the time or energy to enjoy lovely hotel amenities. So I looked for close, clean, and cheap. Red Roof fit the bill. It is very shabby and rundown but it is clean and quiet (so long as the shower fan is off).-

** Live from the Utopia of the Seas ** September 9-13, 2024: Nassau + Coco Cay
FamilyAtSea.travel posted a topic in Royal Caribbean International,
Greetings Royal Caribbean fans and loyalists!
We board the Utopia a week from today so I'm getting this thread started for any of you who may be interested in following along!
My Live threads tend to be pretty indepth and detailed with lots of pictures of our journey as you follow along.
We're a family who typically cruise with our elementary aged kids so I typically cover a bit more of the fun on the ships. We often typically sail in suites (including on the Utopia) so we are able to share that perspective as well.-

Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama!! Ninjacat123 is LIVE on the Pride Sept 1 - 8 2024!!🏖️
ninjacat123 posted a topic in Carnival Cruise Lines,
I feel like it’s been forever since my last cruise (Jan 2024) even though we have been doing all sorts of fun trips (Japan, Oak Island beach, my front porch) and I am so looking forward to this cruise to Bermuda! Craig (DH) and I have never experienced Bermuda and this will be a first time for the Baltimore port as well. I looked into BnB’s and discovered The Laurel Grove Inn on the South River, about a 40 minute drive to the Baltimore port. We are driving up Saturday (about an 8 hour drive) and I’m packing a charcuterie board with a couple bottles of wine to enjoy at the property with the view of the river rolling by. Watch out Craig, romance is in the air!!😍-

SteelCityCruiser10 posted a topic in Royal Caribbean International,
It’s THAT time again everyone!! I accidentally booked this 5 nighter to Bermuda out of Baltimore a couple months ago. Oops! I did it again 🤣
I always have my eye out (since I am a known & admitted cruise-a-holic) for certain cruises especially when I can drive to port. I saw a decent rate on a JS GTY combined with the Labor Day weekend and was sold.-

Live From Crystal Symphony - A New Adventure - Reykjavik to Dover
Keith1010 posted a topic in Crystal,
On the road again, or should I say on another Crystal cruise again.
After a brief stay at home, Anne Marie and I will shortly begin another new adventure. We begin with a pre-cruise stay in Reykjavik, Iceland, before boarding Crystal Symphony on September 8 for two back-to-back cruises, starting in Reykjavik and ending in Dover, England. We last visited this beautiful city in 2021 prior to embarking Endeavor.-

Summit Live to Alaska 8/30/24 to 9/6/24
robbinsca posted a topic in Celebrity Cruises,
We are celebrating our 20th year of cruising by returning to the “mother ship” that we met our cruise buddies in back in 2004.
We flew in to Vancouver a day ahead and stayed in Burnaby at an Accent Inn. Good clean hotel for a good price. We went over to Granville Public Market for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the market as we always do.-
