Halifax pub crawl princess tour ????

Anyone on this and your opinion is???

We've been to Halifx 2x & looking for something different to do. I don't even drink, but looks like fun. Thanks, Robyn

We did this tour through Princess. It is really not a pub tour. You visit various pubs& get one small beer at each one. A bag piper leads the way on foot through the city to each bar- which is festive and fun. Then at the bars two other musicians play for you some folk like songs that tell stories.

So it is very overpriced. You could easily walk to each bar and order up a drinkf for plenty less, but we found it fun as you were mixed with a group of people who like to have a good time. Because of that it was "worth it" for us.

Not sure how entertaining one would find it if you didn't enjoy having a few beers though because there isn't really a whole lot historic or tour like about the excursion.

Another time when we cruised to Halifax we did the Alexander Keith Brewery tour. That was fun. It is along the waterway in a historic building. They are dressed in old fashioned clothing and re-enact what it was like in early times. That wasn't throught the ship, so I would check the tour times ahead so you don't miss it. We walked in and signed up on our own.

Is there anyplace to hear Maritime music during the day other than on the sponsored pub crawls? I'd be very happy finding a place to sit and listen to music and enjoy a few beverages. Our ship (Enchantment) will be in Halifax on Tuesday, Sept. 12 and we need to be back onboard by 6:30pm.
