Getting to Jordan Pond House

We are taking Oli's Trolley long tour, I believe it starts around 10am... We would also like to visit Jordan Pond House, maybe for some popovers and we were wondering if we would have time to go after our morning trolley tour? Is there a way we can go on our own, taxi or shuttle? We need to be back by 3:30 or so for the tender back to the ship. Thanks for any input!

Booked our tour with Acadia Taxi, Mr Bill Fleming. He does a customized tour, a bit more expensive @ $75/hr up to six people, but tailors your tour to what you want to see and length of time you want to spend in an area. We've done Acadia on our own, driving, so we want to go to some of the spots that the tour companies don't go.
