Restrooms on the Public Beach?

We are planning on just hitting the beach and vegging with some cold beer. Started thinking maybe a restroom might be in order, being a girl and all that. Are there public restrooms readily available at the public beach?

I don't recall seeing public restrooms "on" the beach. Certainly, the restaurant(s) you use will welcome you. Le Saint Bonnet is great, the staff excellent and the whole deep fried snapper is outstanding. And extremely fresh.

In Progreso, it's generally just as inexpensive to sit at restaurant tables on the beach - service, food, and the use of the facilities in the restaurant (many of which have showers and changing rooms). You can't beat it!

And the Coconut flavored soap at Le Saint Bonnet is awesome.
